Madonna Sets Sights on Reinventing FashionÖ

Over the years, it has been well established that music icon Madonna is very much the master of reinvention. Now, it has been announced that Singer/Dancer/Producer/Author/Famous Kaballah Convert Lady M has decided to try her hand at fashion design.

In March 2007, Madonna will launch a line of clothes and accessories for fashion mega-retailer H & M, a notion that is sure to light a fire underneath the Queen of Popís well dressed coterie of fans. According to reps for H & M, the new Madonna line, which was no doubt spurred into production by sales of the track suit favored by Madge and popularized in the companyís ad campaigns in the last quarter, will reflect the singerís ìtimeless, unique and always glamorous style.". However given the number of styles Madonna has favored over the years, I am curious to see which one dominates her new fashion line. Will it be more 80ís Jean Paul Gaultier Madonna? Or more slutty Madonna? Or will it be Mommy Madonna? Oh how these thoughts have kept me up at night. I suppose weíll all just have to wait and see.

One thing is pretty much guaranteed though. Given the way the Madonna track suits sold out all over the world at H&M, there is little doubt that the divaís fashion line will blow off the racks at a decidedly faster pace than her last childrenís book, which is reportedly languishing, gathering dust at nearly every bookseller in the world. Ah wellÖ even Caesar had a slump right?

Gwen Stefani Smells Like L.A.M.BÖ.

I suppose the thinking goes something like thisÖ "If Britney, Naomi Campbell, J-Lo, Celine Dion and BeyoncÈ can do it, so can I dammit.î Well at least thatís the conversation I imagine going on in Gwen Stefaniís head as she decided to sign a deal with Coty to develop a line of fragrances to go along with her fabulously hip L.A.M.B. fashion line.

In actuality, this new line of fragrances is not so much of a stretch for Stefani, who once worked as cosmetic sales girl in Orange County, California before hitting the big time and marrying a rock star. Speaking of whichÖ Gwen if youíre reading, I think a scent that smells something like Gavin, that gorgeous husband of yours, would be a sales sensation! Call me if you need help working that out (Iím available).

The new Gwen Stefani/L.A.M.B. fragrances are set to hit stores in Fall 2007.

Anna Wintour Gushes Over PradaÖ

Anna Wintour is apparently a fashion goddess with a sense a humor. The legendary and incandescent Vogue editor apparently told Barbara Walters during a recent interview that she is a fan of the movie version of The Devil Wears Prada even though she is the inspiration for the wickedly delightful character of Miranda Priestly, as played with Oscar-worthy intensity by Meryl Streep.

Moreover, during the interview, Wintour even talks about wearing Prada to a special screening of The Devil Wears Prada hosted by Streep herself. Talk about turning lemons into lemonade! I think Anna Wintour could actually turn a sowís ear into a silk purse and for that she will indeed never, ever be matched by anyone in the fashion industry.

Set your Tivoís darlings because you can get a rare glimpse of Anna Wintour in the ABC special, Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2006, which airs on Dec. 12 and also features hunky retired tennis ace Andre Agassi and King of Rap, Jay-Z, who I just love to call Jiggaí! What!

Gisele Pigs OutÖ

According to a recent interview, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen just loves cheeseburgers. Oh boy! Here we go again! Do you know how tired I am of hearing skinny bitches talk about all the fat they eat and how they never gain weight as they shrug at the camera as if to say ìI donít know what the rest of you fat pigs are doing, but you missed the boat on the good gene pool.î Whatever girls! Nobodyís buying it. People are dyingÖliterally dyingÖ to walk the catwalks of Paris, Milan and New YorkÖ and you know what? All those girls ainít dying because of a high-fat cheeseburger diet, so please stop trying to make that seem normal. ListenÖ I love skinny bitchesÖ in fact I live for them! But somehow I feel better if I know that they are healthy, happy and living wellÖ you knowÖ naturally fabulous. And with that I will end this rant.
