Virginia Episcopal Parishes Vote to Break from U.S. Church Over Gay Stance
Two large Episcopal parishes in Viginia voted to split from the U.S. Episcopal Church Sunday, drawing the latest line in the denominationís controversial divide over its ordination of a gay bishop. The two churces voted to join the conservative Convocation of Anglicans in North America organization, which is linked to the Episcopal Church of Nigeria.

James Dobson Slammed for Distorting Facts on Gay Families in Time Magazine
New York University educational psychologist Carol Gilligan, PhD, today slammed Focus on the Family leader, James C. Dobson, for 'twisting' and 'distorting' her research in a guest column he wrote in Time Magazine. Gay rights group Soulforce has launched an online petition asking the editors of Time to check Dobsonís facts about lesbian and gay parenting.

Gay Sex Scandal Forces 2nd Colorado Preacher Off Pulpit
Colorado evangelist Paul Barnes resigned Tuesday admitting to homosexual behavior, becoming the second evangelical leader to step down from the pulpit over a gay sex scandal. Barnes' resignation follows high profile preacher Ted Haggardís admission last month that he was guilty of unspecified 'sexual immorality' after a male prostitute went public with their liaisons.

California Episcopal Diocese Splits With National Church Over Homosexuality
An Episcopalian diocese in California on Saturday moved toward breaking with the U.S. church because of its position on issues including homosexuality. Clergy and lay representatives at the annual convention of the 10,000-member Diocese of San Joaquin voted 176-28 in favor of the step.
